Community Guidelines
Effective 1 January 2026 · Version 2.0
Welcome to Seekers & Keepers. Our community brings together people seeking genuine, respectful companionship and connection across Australia. These Community Guidelines set out the standards we expect from everyone who uses our platform, so that every member can feel safe, valued and free to be themselves. By creating a profile or engaging with others here, you agree to uphold these principles. Please note that this is a demonstration document prepared for testing purposes and does not constitute legal advice.
1. Our shared values. We are committed to fostering a space defined by mutual respect, honesty and discretion. Whether you are a Seeker or a Keeper, the same expectations apply to all.
1.1 Respect & courtesy
Every interaction should be conducted with warmth and consideration. Disagreements may happen, but they must never descend into hostility. We ask that you always assume good faith and communicate as you would wish to be addressed.
1.2 Authenticity & honesty
Trust is the foundation of every meaningful connection. Your profile should reflect who you genuinely are, and your intentions should be communicated openly and truthfully.
1.3 Conduct that keeps the community safe
To protect the wellbeing of all members, the following behaviours are strictly prohibited on our platform:
- Harassment, intimidation, bullying or repeated unwanted contact after someone has declined further engagement.
- Discrimination or hateful conduct based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- Impersonation, catfishing or the use of misleading photographs and false personal details.
- Sharing another member's private information, images or correspondence without their explicit consent.
- Any form of solicitation, coercion, or activity that is unlawful under Australian law.
Your Rights & Responsibilities
Membership of Seekers & Keepers comes with both protections you can rely on and responsibilities you agree to honour. Understanding this balance helps our whole community thrive.
2.1 What you can expect from us
We work to maintain a considered, well-moderated environment. As a member, you have the right to be treated with dignity and to have your privacy respected in accordance with our published policies.
- A profile and presence that you control, including the ability to edit, pause or remove your account.
- Access to reporting and blocking tools so you can manage who interacts with you.
- Timely, fair review of any concern you raise with our moderation team.
2.2 What we ask of you
In return, we ask every member to take an active part in keeping the community healthy and welcoming.
- Keep your account details accurate and secure, and never share your login with others.
- Obtain clear, enthusiastic consent before arranging to meet or exchanging personal contact information.
- Respect boundaries the first time they are expressed, without pressure or persistence.
- Report conduct that appears unsafe, deceptive or in breach of these guidelines.
2.3 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to hold an account. Membership is strictly for adults, and any attempt to misrepresent your age will result in immediate removal.
Reporting, Moderation & Enforcement
We take every report seriously and review each one with care. Our aim is always to resolve matters proportionately, favouring education and warning where appropriate, while acting decisively when a member's safety is at stake.
3.1 How to raise a concern
If you encounter behaviour that troubles you, please use the reporting tools available on each profile and conversation. Provide as much context as you can, as this helps our team respond accurately and swiftly.
What to include
- The username or profile involved and the nature of your concern.
- The approximate date and time of the interaction.
- Any relevant details that will help us understand the situation.
3.2 How we respond
Depending on the seriousness and context of a breach, our moderation team may take one or more of the following actions:
- A private reminder or formal warning outlining the expected standard.
- Temporary restriction of certain features or a suspension of your account.
- Permanent removal from the platform for serious or repeated violations.
- Referral to the relevant authorities where conduct may be unlawful.
3.3 Appeals
We recognise that context matters and that mistakes can occur. If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you may request a review, and a member of our team will reconsider the matter fairly. We will keep you informed of the outcome wherever possible.
These guidelines are a living document and may be updated from time to time as our community grows. Thank you for helping us keep Seekers & Keepers a warm, respectful and trusted place to connect.
