1. Our Regulatory Commitments
We design our policies and processes to align with the laws that apply to our operations, and we review them regularly as the regulatory landscape evolves. Our compliance programme is overseen by a dedicated Trust & Safety function that works alongside external advisers.
The principal areas we monitor and uphold include the following:
- Privacy and data protection, consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles and applicable state and territory requirements.
- Age assurance, ensuring that access is restricted to verified adults aged eighteen years or over.
- Anti-money laundering and financial integrity, including monitoring for unusual payment activity.
- Consumer protection and fair trading, so that our advertising and membership terms are clear and honest.
- Content and conduct standards, prohibiting unlawful, exploitative or non-consensual material.
2. How We Put These Commitments Into Practice
Compliance is not a one-off exercise but an ongoing discipline. We maintain documented procedures, train our team, and keep records that allow us to demonstrate accountability. Where we engage third parties, we expect them to meet standards equivalent to our own.
- We verify the identity and age of members before granting access to restricted features.
- We assess new features for compliance risk before they are released.
- We log and investigate reports of misconduct promptly and impartially.
- We retain and dispose of personal information in line with our published retention schedules.
Your Rights and Responsibilities
A safe and respectful community depends on everyone playing their part. As a member of Seekers & Keepers, you enjoy meaningful protections, and in turn you agree to use the platform lawfully and considerately.
Your Rights
We recognise and respect the rights that help you feel secure and in control of your experience with us.
- The right to access, correct and request deletion of the personal information we hold about you, subject to our lawful retention obligations.
- The right to clear, honest information about our fees, features and membership tiers before you commit.
- The right to report concerns confidentially and to have them handled fairly and without retaliation.
- The right to withdraw your consent or close your account at any time.
Your Responsibilities
In return, we ask that you help us maintain the standards that keep this community welcoming and safe for all.
- Provide accurate information and keep your account details current.
- Interact with other members respectfully, honouring boundaries and consent at all times.
- Refrain from any unlawful, deceptive or exploitative conduct, on or off the platform.
- Protect your login credentials and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Where a member does not meet these responsibilities, we may take proportionate action, including issuing a warning, restricting features, or suspending an account while we investigate.
Reporting, Enforcement and Contact
We take every report seriously and aim to respond with care, discretion and speed. If something does not seem right, we would rather hear from you than not, and we will always favour the safety of our community.
How to Raise a Concern
You can bring a compliance or safety matter to our attention in a few simple ways.
- Use the in-platform reporting tools available on profiles, messages and listings.
- Contact our Trust & Safety team through the support options in your account settings.
- Submit a formal request relating to your personal information via our privacy enquiry channel.
How We Respond

- Urgent safety concerns are prioritised and escalated immediately.
- We cooperate with lawful requests from regulators and law enforcement.
- We periodically publish summary information about the actions we take, without identifying individuals.
